People within the Client Operations-AO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Application Outsourcing (AO) incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.
Job Description:
Exciting SOA-based technology development role working with a major movie studio. Develop and support applications which enable the manufacturing of theatrical and episodic content for domestic and international distribution. Technologies such as digital asset management, media preview/playback, and media workflow management are leveraged in order to create an integrated production and post-production environment.
Candidates interested in both cutting-edge enterprise Java development (web services, BPM, Web 2.0, hibernate) as well as an interest in how movies and television shows are created are ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary tasks for the Java Programmer Analyst are:
- application development and technical design of minor enhancements
- application issue investigation, assisting with application support, including helping troubleshoot daily issues and helping out with Tier 2 application phone support
- assisting with application system testing and regression testing efforts
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in software development
- 1 year experience J2EE-based application development, Java Application Servers and IDEs, and Oracle development skills
- Bachelors of Science degree; preferably in CS or ECE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building or maintaining enterprise media-based applications
- Experience delivering integrated software solutions using SOA technologies/methodologies
- Experience implementing any system for a media company
- Experience with the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge in ESB’s and BPM tools in WebLogic (ALSB, ALBMP, ALUI)
- Knowledge of WebLogic Server
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate
- Skills with 3rd party media processing or movement applications such as Telestream FlipFactory, Thompson media processing, Aspera file transport, etc.

- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
