Director of Applications
Rapidly growing Southern California retail Services Company with over 100 outlets and 3 business operations centers is readying to upgrade its multiple core financial, human resource, and operations systems. The Director of Applications will lead this effort utilizing a strategy of third party application software integration and intranet portal development/integration. Buy, not build is the focus when appropriate for product, services and labor.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Project management in a multi-project environment
· Business process analysis and re-engineering
· Application vendor (packaged software and ASP) management
· 3rd party application integration
· Personal application design and development using .net and MSSQL
· Minimum 5 years in a management role
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
· Experience managing near and offshore development teams
· Experience utilizing RUP and/or UML
· Knowledge of various EDI methodologies
· Business perspective gained through either entrepreneurial activity or advanced education
Position reports to the CIO and manages an in-house staff of 3-6 and an off-shore development team, depending on requirements. Competitive base + bonus. No relocation.
